It is so important to start the day with a satisfying breakfast that will power you through to lunch, but we don't always have the time to make a big breakfast like my Skillet Breakfast Potatoes and eggs on busy mornings. Instead of skipping it all together, I like to whip up a protein filled smoothie before heading out the door.
I especially love this green smoothie for my morning routine, because it has some of my favorite ingredients - peanut butter and bananas! Peanut butter and bananas are smart choices for a satisfying smoothie, but why not add another layer of the good stuff?! Fresh, raw spinach not only sneaks in extra nutrition, but it also creates a beautiful green color. Green is my favorite color, so everything about this smoothie makes me smile!
I always like to be prepared before I start making a recipe. I gather my tools and ingredients together first so I don't forget anything, and I always use fresh, quality ingredients to ensure the best flavor. For this recipe we are using fresh baby spinach, a banana, Dannon Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt, Jif™ Creamy Peanut Butter, milk, and a blender. Layer 2 cups fresh baby spinach (push the spinach down into the blender cup with the handle of a wooden spoon to make room for the other ingredients), 1 banana,
1/2 cup Dannon Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt, 1 tablespoon Jif Creamy Peanut Butter,
and 1 cup milk into the blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Green Smoothie with Peanut Butter and Banana
- 2 cups fresh baby spinach
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup Dannon Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 cup milk
- Layer 2 cups fresh baby spinach (push the spinach down into the blender cup with the handle of a wooden spoon to make room for the other ingredients), 1 banana, 1/2 cup Dannon Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt, 1 tablespoon Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, and 1 cup milk into the blender.
- Blend until smooth and enjoy!
